Kathy came to Key Biscayne in 1985 to visit relatives on a trip from her native country, Australia. She had planned a brief stay of a few weeks. Twenty-two years later she is still here, calls Key Biscayne "home" and is raising her children on the island paradise where her husband also grew up.

Kathy studied Communications at Miami-Dade Community College and the University of Miami while working for a local travel agency, Key Biscayne Travel.  For the next ten years, Kathy would stay within the travel industry moving into sales and marketing for a computer reservation system based in Miami, until resigning to manage a new business with her husband, Eddie - short term weekly vacation rentals on Key Biscayne. 

Finally, after referring numerous requests to other realtors over the years from vacationers who wished to purchase a residence on Key Biscayne, Kathy became a licensed realtor and broker, and opened the doors of Key Life Realty.
